OPP Warning: Fraud Targeting Dufferin County Residents #

Dufferin OPP is warning all county residents about ongoing fraud activity targeting communities across Dufferin County and Ontario. Be cautious of unsolicited calls, emails, or messages requesting personal or financial information. Report suspected fraud to the OPP non-emergency line: 1-888-310-1122 or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre: 1-888-495-8501 or antifraudcentre.ca.

Transit Update: Primrose Bus Stop Returns July 2026 #

Starting July 2026, Grey County Transit Route 2 will restore its Primrose area stop on a six-month pilot basis, approved by Dufferin County Council on May 14. The route connects Primrose and Shelburne to GO Transit services in Orangeville. Cost to the county: $2,490, included in the 2026 budget. Source: citizen.on.ca.
Speed Limit Reduced on County Road 8 in Mono — Effective July 1 #

The Township of Mono is reducing the speed limit on County Road 8 between Hockley Road and Airport Road from 80 km/h to 60 km/h, effective July 1, 2026.

Dufferin County CAO Sonya Pritchard Retiring After 15 Years #

After 15 years as Chief Administrative Officer, Sonya Pritchard is retiring from Dufferin County at the end of 2026. Warden Lisa Post praised her dedication to public service and her leadership through significant change and growth at the County. Pritchard first joined Dufferin County in 2001 as County Treasurer.
