The Dufferin County Forest Main Tract hosts a full schedule of permitted events through the fall. Upcoming dates: OTRA Horseback Riding (July 8–13), OCTRA Horseback Riding (July 17–20), OTRA Horseback Riding (Aug 4–10), Substance Projects Bike Race (Aug 29–30), OTRA Horseback Riding (Sept 4–7), Chesley Saddle Club (Sept 18–21), OCTRA Horseback Riding (Oct 2–5), Chesley Saddle Club (Oct 16–19). Orangeville Rotary Ribfest 2026 #

The 17th Annual Orangeville Rotary Ribfest runs July 17–19, 2026 at the Alder Street Recreation Centre. Free admission — donations gratefully accepted. Six internationally acclaimed ribbers, beer tent, Classic Car Show on Saturday afternoon, KidsFest on Sunday, and continuous live entertainment on the main stage all weekend. Proceeds support the redevelopment of Rotary Park. No pets, no smoking, no vaping, no cannabis, no BYOB. More at orangevilleribfest.com.

Pickin’ in the Park returns July 23–26, 2026 at the Shelburne Fairgrounds. Four days of live music across two barns, open mic sessions, acoustic jams, seminars, Friday morning yoga, Saturday yard sale, and Sunday morning gospel concert. Dufferin Film Festival 2026 #

The 3rd Annual Dufferin Film Festival runs August 14–16, 2026 at the historic Orangeville Opera House. Celebrating Canadian independent cinema with short film screenings in all genres. The 2025 festival sold out — early tickets strongly recommended. Weekend includes Opening Night red carpet screening (Friday), VIP Social at Revival 1863, Saturday morning industry Speaker Series, and VIP Awards Night on Sunday.
