Sixteen kilometres of groomed trails — classic and skate, novice through expert — seven minutes from downtown Orangeville, run by volunteers.
The thing that makes it special: a 2 km lit loop for night skiing until 9 p.m. Every other trail closes at 7 p.m. Skiing under lights on a Tuesday in January is not something most Ontario towns can offer.
Practical
- Season: 15 November to 15 April, open seven days, dawn to dusk
- Rentals and passes in the pavilion’s lower level, weekends and holidays 9–5, weather permitting. An honesty box the rest of the time
- Non-profit and volunteer-run, with membership fees among the most affordable in Ontario
- Walking is not permitted on the ski trails during ski season — Monora Park has separate walking trails for that
Near-daily grooming reports are posted at mononordic.com, and you should read one before driving out. The club’s own 2026 trail reports showed repeated warm-weather degradation through March — winter here is real, but it’s fragile.
The club also notes that coyotes are active in the park, especially after dusk. Worth knowing if you’re skiing the lit loop at night or bringing a dog.
