The Rosebud Motel

Yes, that one — the Schitt's Creek exterior, on Hockley Road. It is private property, and there is nothing to see beyond the building itself.

Just show up

Yes — that one. The Schitt’s Creek exterior sits on 6.7 acres beside the Nottawasaga River on Hockley Road, about fifteen minutes from Orangeville.

Three things to know before you build a day around it:

It is private property. Not a museum, not an attraction, not open to visitors. People live and work there. Treat it as a roadside photo stop with safe parking, and nothing more than that.

The sign comes and goes. Ownership has changed since the show ended and the Rosebud sign has not been permanently installed. You may drive out and find an ordinary motel.

Every interior scene was shot in a Toronto studio. There is no lobby, no Johnny’s office, no Alexis’s room. The building is the building.

If you’re in the area anyway, it’s a fun two-minute stop on a Hockley Road drive — which is a genuinely beautiful road, and arguably the better reason to go. The Hockley & Mulmur scenic drive runs right past it.
